JDI Barbell opened in 2016 to provide a home for serious strength athletes in New York City.

Although we are home to high-level weightlifters and powerlifters, we develop beginners better than any other barbell club or strength gym in New York City.

From day one, new JDI members are given access to our database of top-tier programming and guidance from our expert coaches who are on site to provide as much guidance or feedback as you need. More importantly, new members are thrust into our community, which consists of lifters with various skill levels and experience. JDI Barbell will feel like home!

We believe that great systems of coaching along with a supportive community form the foundation for the quickest, most effective progress.

New JDI members are immediately connected with other members of varying skill levels. More importantly, our coaches provide high-level instruction on site.
