Youth Nutrition Class
Looking for a nutrition class for your tween or young teen? JDI Barbell has your back!We will be offering a tween-young teen age youth nutrition class, focusing on basic nutrition and wellness concepts, and how they relate to you for your lifestyle or sport. This class will be focusing on:
-How nutrition works with the human body
-Macronutrients
-vitamins and minerals
-hydration
-food choices (vegan, vegetarian, and special diet friendly)
-balance between all food groups
-learning the importance of healthy food choices and relationships with food
Taught by clinical nutritionist, Chris Montero, who obtained his Bachelors of Science for Nutritional Sciences with an emphasis in Human Nutrition in 2019 (University of Arizona). He manages athletes at state and national level competition for bodybuilding, powerlifting, and MMA.
This is a virtual and interactive class that meets once a week for eight weeks starting the week of September 12th. No prior knowledge required, and this satisfies the health education requirement for homeschoolers. Expect lots of discussion, group projects, and individualized attention!
